Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna da Silva
A Brazilian racing driver who won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship in 1988, 1990, and 1991, all driving for Marlboro McLaren a team he stayed with for 6 seasons. Previously he had raced for Lotus for 3 seasons winning his first Grand Prix in a rain soaked race in Portugal 1985. He debuted in F1 during 1984 racing for Toleman where he famously drove through the field in dreadful conditions at the Monaco Grand Prix that year, being denied victory due to countback to the previously completed lap.
Senna went on to win 41 Grands Prix along with 65 pole positions, with the latter being the record until 2006.
